About Dr. Ryan Rucker

Dr. Ryan Rucker is a Collegiate Full Professor of Educational Technology at The University of Maryland Global Campus. In addition, he has taught online and face-to-face courses (mostly as an adjunct instructor) at other public and private institutions to include:

  • University of South Carolina (College of Engineering and Computing)

  • New England College (School of Graduate and Professional Studies)

His primary research interests are technology adoption within all educational environments, effective course design and delivery, and the implementation of quality assurance measurements within the online classroom. He has published articles in the Quarterly Review of Distance Education, Online Journal of Distance Learning Administration, Distance Learning, Journal of online Higher Education and Journal of Educational Technology Systems. In addition, Dr. Rucker is a certified Quality Matters Peer Reviewer and Master Reviewer, along with having the Online Learning Consortium’s online teaching certificate.
